Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Vaultro handles information across the website, mobile apps, browser extension, desktop apps, and related services. Vaultro is self-custody, which means wallet secrets stay under user control instead of being stored by Vaultro.
Vaultro at a glance
1. Scope and Self-Custody Model
Vaultro provides self-custody wallet software and related infrastructure such as RPC, relayer, notification, history, pricing, merchant, and website services. Vaultro does not custody user funds.
Your wallet operates primarily from encrypted local storage on your device. Some optional features require limited operational data to be processed by Vaultro infrastructure or by third-party network providers.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
- Vaultro does not collect or store private keys, seed phrases, or the local master password.
- Vaultro does not perform KYC inside the wallet itself.
- Vaultro does not access your biometric template; biometric matching is handled by your device OS.
- Vaultro does not sell personal information.
3. Data We May Process to Operate Features
Depending on the feature, Vaultro may process limited operational data such as:
- public wallet addresses you choose to use in the app;
- transaction metadata and public blockchain identifiers needed to route, simulate, relay, or display history;
- device notification token, device identifier, platform, app version, and selected wallet addresses when notifications are enabled;
- support messages or public social contact data if you contact Vaultro voluntarily;
- basic website analytics and technical logs required to keep services secure and operational.
Vaultro uses this data to deliver wallet features, transaction notifications, recovery workflows, merchant/store features, fraud prevention, and reliability monitoring.
4. Permissions and Device Access
Vaultro requests permissions only when a feature needs them. Common examples include:
- Camera: scan QR codes, payment requests, and wallet connection data.
- Notifications: receive account, merchant, jackpot, recovery, and security alerts.
- Biometrics: unlock the app or approve sensitive local actions using the device security layer.
- NFC: support tap-based payment and compatible payment flows.
- Photos / media: choose an image or scan a saved QR code when explicitly requested.
5. Public Blockchain Data, Notifications, and Service Providers
Blockchain activity is inherently public. When you use Vaultro, wallet addresses, transaction hashes, token transfers, and other on-chain metadata may be visible to validators, RPC providers, block explorers, and anyone reading the relevant chain.
If you enable notifications, Vaultro may store and process your device push token, a local device identifier, selected wallet addresses, notification preferences, and notification delivery state so alerts can be sent to your device.
6. Retention, Deletion, and Your Choices
Most sensitive wallet data stays only on your device unless you deliberately use a server-side feature.
- You can remove local wallet data from your device through reset and recovery flows.
- You can disable notifications inside Vaultro, which stops future delivery for that device on supported platforms.
- Public blockchain records cannot be deleted by Vaultro because they do not live in a private Vaultro database.
- Operational logs and notification records may be retained for security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and legal compliance for a limited period.
7. Security, No KYC, and No Sale of Personal Data
Vaultro uses local encryption, self-custody architecture, and operational controls designed to minimize centralized exposure. No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security, but Vaultro is built to avoid unnecessary custody and data collection.
Vaultro does not offer in-app KYC as part of the wallet itself, does not sell personal data, and does not claim ownership of user funds.
8. Policy Updates and Contact
Vaultro may update this policy to reflect legal, technical, or product changes. When that happens, the date shown on this page is updated.
